Intertwined
Using a toothbrush and other materials to remove organic material helped reveal the fine veins in this 3-dimensional cactus skeleton. The delicate veins of the skeleton showcase how the resilient cactus uses its circulatory system to thrive. The veins were highlighted by hand-painting the piece in gold and setting it within an 11” x 14” black shadow box lined with black velvet. This piece is currently on display and available for sale at the Wilding Museum of Art and Nature.
