Golden Grape Leaf
$120.00
A single grape leaf outlined in gold is the focal point of this 9” x 12” image on watercolor paper. Red rose petals turn blue by the addition of an alum mordant. The mordant also helps to serve as a yellow backdrop to the golden leaf. The precise veins in the leaf and petals were achieved by adding extensive pressure to the image during the printing process. The image is enclosed in a black mat, with a black and gold wood frame. The framed piece measures 11” x 14”. This piece is currently on display and available for sale at the Wilding Museum of Art and Nature.
