Description
Clusters of round eucalyptus leaves are the subject of this 9” x 12” image on watercolor paper. The yellow comes from the addition of an alum mordant. The blue comes from red rose leaves placed behind the watercolor paper before the eco-printing process. The dream-like quality of the image comes from submerging the paper and plant materials in boiling water. Small sycamore and orchid leaves decorate the image bottom. The image comes with a black mat and is housed in a wood and copper-colored frame. The framed piece measures 11” x 14”. This piece is currently on display and for sale at the Wilding Museum of Art and Nature.
